Alienated
This is a short film reflecting upon the effect of gaze on a woman’s body and how it causes alienation from her own self, it also talks about the  repercussions of what patriarchy plays in her life . Thinking about the same and to find a belonging, she has to runaway to find her self , so she runs into the woods and she finds the soil, the land sharing the same feeling and paints her self with it to become one and to end the alienated longing in her body. This film is  also a surreal depiction of this thought that how land/nature is alienated in the same way the fem-body is and perhaps, resisting these systems together can be a way of returning to where we came from, our body and nature. I think a lot about the body and land and their shared separateness from each other—both dictated on how to exist and uprooted by these outer systems: patriarchy and capitalism. In my work, land and the fem-body try to reach out to one another in an attempt to merge, dissolve, and resist the outer systems together .The background sound in the film is made by using collected stones and shells around me , in an attempt for my prose to feel more connected and dissolve in the surrounding, an irony in itself.
